LCVT awarded Stellantis approval

LCVT ha ottenuto l'approvazione Stellantis

LCVT the specialist commercial body builder based in Stourbridge, has been successful in achieving Stellantis Approval for its low line chassis conversion and associated bodywork.

LCVT have been manufacturing their own low floor, space frame chassis conversion since 2018. Engineered specifically for the commercial vehicle market, the chassis has a wide range of applications including the enormously successful LCVT Low Floor Traffic Management vehicle and Tool Hire variant. LCVT have in addition, supplied chassis conversions for Luton Box bodies and Exhibition vehicles during the last 6 years with over four hundred vehicles on the road.

LCVT ha ottenuto l'approvazione StellantisThe chassis conversion utilises a standard chassis cab as the donor vehicle but unlike other chassis conversions, LCVT have an engineered “shoe” which sits up inside the cab chassis, ensuring the interface between the cab and chassis is equal if not stronger than the O.E. chassis, which has been verified during dynamic testing at MIRA.

Steve Elwell (LCVT Director) Commented:

I am enormously proud of the engineering team at LCVT who have worked closely with Stellantis, Warren Hodges in particular, to achieve the approval status, and ongoing support while applying for the approval from Justin Smith (Stellantis Sales Director) at Guest Truck & Van which was invaluable.

LCVT are currently the only company, that I’m aware of in the UK who manufacture their own chassis conversion which has been awarded Stellantis Approval, and I am extremely excited about the opportunities this will open up to us as a business as we move into 2025.
