Fabrizio Giugiaro drives the GFG Kangaroo in the new edition of the 1000 Miglia Green, the most famous vintage car race in the world.

In addition to celebrating the history of motoring, the 1000 Miglia Green looks to the future and this mission is confirmed thanks to the presence of Fabrizio Giugiaro, who has directed his career in car design to constant research and innovation not only in shapes and aesthetics but also in alternative power supplies, among which electric stands out.

After participating in 2020, an edition that saw for the first time an alternative-fueled car, the GFG Vision 2030 Hyper SUV, tracing the route of the historic Red Arrow race in a privileged position at the opening of the race, Fabrizio Giugiaro returns this year with the GFG Kangaroo.

The Kangaroo, an innovative meeting point between a crossover and a coupe presented by GFG Style – the advanced styling center led by Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro – at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2019, will thus be able to prove its remarkable performance: with two 245-horsepower electric motors powered by 90-kWh batteries, it reaches 250 km/h and has a range of more than 450 km.

Drivers will be measured by 15 time controls, 83 chronometric tests, 2 media tests and 18 stamp controls.

Behind the wheel of the Kangaroo, with race number 701 – the first among the electric cars – will be Fabrizio Giugiaro himself, who has always combined his work as a designer with his passion for sports driving, personally testing many of the models he has designed in his more than 30-year career, flanked by Alessio Frassinetti, a motoring expert and contributor to the famous Quattroruote magazine.
